A graduate from Exeter University, Russell Barton has been recruiting senior IT and banking professionals for the financial marketplace since 1995. Prior to his recruitment career, Russell worked for Learning Tree international - a major IT training company - and before setting-up McCabe & Barton, Russell created and ran a Senior IT recruitment Division for a Financial Markets recruitment company. Gillian has a development background as prior to setting-up McCabe & Barton, she worked in the City for over 18 years. Following a Mathematics Degree, Gillian's career evolved from development roles within Treasury and Bullion IT N.M. Rothschild, to Equities and global Treasury IT responsibility at Citibank, to head of Treasury IT at BZW before ending her city career as Chief Administration Officer for NatWest Global Financial Markets in North America (managing a department of over 200 people). In her career in the City, Gillian had to recruit for many IT roles - both in her own department and for other teams and departments.

Caroline Goldie
Caroline has worked in IT recruitment since 1998, she joined McCabe and Barton in 2001. Caroline works in the Senior IT team and is responsible for a broad variety of roles at Director level and above across the Financial markets. Caroline is a Psychology graduate from the University of Hull.

George Millar
George started his recruitment career when he joined McCabe and Barton in 2010. He works as a Researcher within the Senior team where he concentrates on searching for and approaching prospective candidates of director level and above. George graduated in 2010 from Durham University with a degree in Anthropology.

Darren Ball
Darren started in recruitment in 1994. Throughout his career, Darren has focused on recruiting contract and permanent IT people at all levels for Investment Banks, Asset/Wealth Managers in London (and for a year in Sydney). For the last ten years Darren has specialised in placing IT Architects and IT Development/Project/Programme Managers and works with people at AVP/Director level and above who are interested in exploring opportunities on a permanent or interim/contract basis. Claire McGee
Claire McGee is a senior recruiter specialising on development roles across the Financial Markets. Over the last 5 years Claire has helped a range of Investment Banks, hedge funds and alternative financial organisations across the City recruit software engineers from graduate up to VP level. After 4 years within a large City recruitment firm, Claire moved to McCabe & Barton in 2009 and is focused on delivering strong technical candidates to clients across the financial markets.

Having graduated from Loughborough University, Tim started his recruitment career in 2005 with a large city firm, focussing on the delivery of IT professionals in to major financial institutions. In 2009 he joined an international company, where he was hired to help build a permanent team, focussed on the delivery of senior level candidates into the Telecommunications industry and was active across Europe, Asia and Africa. Tim joined McCabe and Barton in 2011 where he works in the Core team and is focussed on all levels in the development space

James Hurst
James has been recruiting across the Quantitative Analytics spectrum since 2007. James focuses on VP-MD level hires across asset classes, working with Investment Banks, Hedge Funds and other financial institutions. Prior to joining McCabe & Barton, James ran the Quantitative Analytics business at a boutique search firm. Prior to a career in recruitment James worked and trained as an Accountant working in practice and then in the media industry. James joined McCabe and Barton in 2011.

Caroline Horgan
Caroline joined McCabe and Barton in 2010 as a Resourcer and was promoted to Junior Consultant a year later, specialising in the permanent Business Analyst space. Within her role, Caroline’s main responsibilities are to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the permanent BA market, build relationships with clients, understand their requirements, provide them with appropriate candidates and manage the process thereafter. Caroline graduated from Durham University with a 1st class degree in Modern Languages.

Jacqui Bull
Jacqui Bull has been in IT recruitment since 1994. Jacqui started her recruitment career in the secretarial market place before joining an international recruitment company where she was an Associate Director running teams who recruited for the finance, banking, commerce and industrial markets. Jacqui joined McCabe & Barton in May 2006 and manages the Core Technology Team and MBCI.

Melissa Harding
Melissa started in recruitment in 2005 and has been filling mid to senior level technology appointments within the finance sector, covering a broad range of business areas and a background specialising in Application Support, Infrastructure and more recently Business Analysts and Project Managers. Melissa graduated from Manchester University with a BA Hons in Latin in 1998 and she then travelled round the world solo before moving to London and working in Property Sales. Prior to joining McCabe & Barton in 2008, Melissa worked for a major IT recruitment company focused on the Financial markets.

Chris Culverhouse
Chris joined McCabe & Barton in the summer of 2011 after spending 9 months working in Gateshead, providing technical support for Apple. Previous to this Chris graduated in 2010 from Newcastle University, coming out with a 2:1 in Media, Communication and Culture. Chris has joined the contract and interim team, specialising in development.

Luke Bowen
Luke joined McCabe & Barton early 2010 to take some of the load off the administrative team. Since joining, Luke’s role at the company has developed broadly and he is now involved anywhere from Contractor care, to IT support, and anything in between.

Scarlett Geering

Linda joined the McCabe & Barton admin team in 2006 and has more than thirty years experience as a PA, secretary and admin manager, working primarily in the financial services and public sectors. A graduate in French Studies, Linda has worked for a number of companies ranging from a small government-funded organisation to a global management consultancy.

Janet Nash
A graduate with a degree in business studies, Janet joined McCabe & Barton in August 2010 in the role of financial controller. Prior to joining McCabe & Barton, Janet worked for more than twenty years in finance in the retail sector and for the Health Service.
